I used it to go ground water and soil contamination maps when I was working for a geotechnical company. No other program then and probably still today could do it like quicksurf pro could. And QuickSurf for AutoCAD 2008 is here! But I've never used it myself.

But at $2,000 it's too much to add to LDT or C3D where you already have DTM capabilities. AutoCAD plus Quicksurf would run about $6,000. Civil 3D is around $7,500. But if all you needed to do was surfaces.
