It was a brilliant experience reading this book and I am, in fact, overwhelmed and stupefied by the amazing ideology of the author. The highly germane usage of quotes and shibboleths accentuates the essence of the thought process which the author is trying to impart. If each and every conscious individual adapts the ideology expressed in this book, then the world will truly become a paradise. If you are an individual who feels that he/she has a decent level of conscience, humility and intellect, then on reading this book you will surely feel that many of the things given in the book are those which you always wanted to tell the whole world about. In some parts, the book gets a bit repetitive and tedious, nonetheless it still doesn't matters because its an absolute masterpiece. One more thing, if you are a Harry Potter aficionado, you might feel the essence of 'Albus Dumbledore' in the character of 'Julian Mantle'. Finally, I am glad that I have discovered someone who has a similar frame of mind as that of mine.

Kudos to you Robin Sharma! My dad gave me this book because of his devotion to it and his awareness of my belief that one should not follow the norm. I honestly did not plan to read the book for a while, but I went ahead and read it for my dad for his Father's Day present. I find it very hard to relate to the book and that for one to get something out of it, one must be religious, believe in determinism, and be more or less idealistic.

I find it very hard to relate to the book and that for one to get something out of it, one must be religious, believe in determinism, and be more or less idealistic. I am essentially none of these things. I found some of the lessons in the book enlightening such as embracing one's fears and setting aside a holy hour from 5-6 AM, but overall I struggled with accepting the overall impact of this book. Also, the writing style is very numbing.

There is hardly any action throughout, and it is mostly just Julian blandly conversing with Dar. I feel like the book unfortunately simulates some sort of pathetic religious satire in which some lost soul blindly follows a 'wise' religious teacher. Dar questions Julian's advice a total of two times in the entire book, and he doesn't even question the lessons he's learning; he only questions the impact that they will have! The book has nothing at all.

Seriously nothing, to make me hate it!! Yes of course, its philosophy, and some find it boring(not all), and yet some suggested me to stop reading it, as it is meant for old people. Honestly, its a big NO to such suggestions. Youth belong to the must-read category, and I genuinely feel that it will change their lives in a better way. Don't necessarily have to follow everything mentioned, and that's not fair too. We just have to consider the facts and the methods sug The book has nothing at all. Seriously nothing, to make me hate it!!
